Whew.... did everyone survive day one? That was a lot of work and a lot of typing. Well it's time for round 2. Today's Question is:
Traditions, what are some of your favorite family traditions? What are some traditions you want to begin?
I would call our family a normal family as far as traditions go. It's actually pretty blah I guess. Al though this year I'm planning a Train ride with Hubs and the kids. I'm so excited! My Husband has to work most Christmas Eve's. He does get off early though. The kids and I normally spend Christmas Eve baking, wrapping presents we haven't gotten to yet and just hanging out. We always have on Christmas music or are watching a Christmas movie. Their favorite is the Grinch (newer version w/ Jim Carrey). We play games and just enjoy being together as a family. We let the kiddos open one present on Christmas Eve, which is always one I have designated as the Christmas Eve present. It's normally matching gifts such as pajamas or a book.
On Christmas Day like most families we are up early because the kids just can't contain themselves. Hubs and I get our caffeine and sit down to watch them open their presents. We've been hosting Christmas Dinner at our place so Family shows up to eat and be Merry with us. The kids just spend the day playing with their goodies. Here is one tradition that my Hubs family has his stocking stuffers were always wrapped. My family never did this. So my question to you all is... Do you wrap your stocking stuffers or is my Hubs' family just wierd. *lol*

Heck no- I don't wrap my stocking stuffers- what is the point of a stocking? And, I barely survived day one, but had a lot of fun so I guess we are gluttons for punishment :-)
We don't wrap our stocking stuffers mainly b/c I'm lazy, LMAO. As a kid ours were wrapped though.
Sounds like fun and nope, Santa does not wrap stocking stuffers here, nor his gifts.
We never do stockings, since we didn't go to NY last year I put them up and I wrapped everything, my thought behind it was that it'd extend christmas for the kids. I got everything in there at the dollar store, so the gifts looked less crappy being wrapped! Here's My Day 2! I have Mr. Linky up, so leave your link!
We've never done stocking stuffers. We have stockings but have never filled them. I plan on doing that for Callan for this year - his first Christmas - and continuing it. I don't think I would wrap them though.
I'm afraid to host Xmas dinner. Brave woman!
LOL No, we've never wrapped the stocking stuffers, in fact they are usually just candy.
Stocking stuffers were never wrapped in our family either but my Hubs also insists they be wrapped. So strange!
Oh I would love for everyone to come to us!!!! Well, maybe at least just one year!!
We usually do wrap our stocking stuffers, but mainly because we don't go all out for the holiday, and that gives a few more things to open. Plus, it draws out the excitement.
No we have never wrapped stocking stuffers, but I have heard of it before.
I would say the stuffers are 50/50 here. If it's something that is kind of neat as a gift then it gets wrapped. If it's just filler then it just goes in.
There were always one or two really nice items in our stockings (i.e. a watch, bracelet, earrings) and those were wrapped but most everything else was just "stuffed"! Happy Holidays!
I do not wrap stocking stuffers. The stocking is wrapping enough.
Usuall we don't, unless it's a big stuffer. We have always given hot wheel cars as stocking stuffers, cheap and small to fit. LOL Other than that there's usually candy in them.
we don't wrap stocking stuffers or anything that comes from Santa!
I love just sitting back watching the kids play with their new loot!
Great traditions! I do wrap most of what goes into the stockings. And my reasoning is to do whatever makes the gift opening session last longer! LOL
My daughter's favorite movie is the Grinch as well! As a matter of fact she dressed up as Cindy Lou for Christmas last year!
WEIRD.
I don't wrap stocking stuffers, my mom didn't, DH's family didn't. In fact this is the first I've heard of it. :D
Nope, we don't wrap them either, but my husband and I both always got nuts (in their shells) and an orange in our stockings. The orange was always in the toe of the stocking. We, of course, do that for our daughter, too, along with lots of other candies and trinkets.
My mom never wrapped stocking stuffers, but my stepmom does. It's been SOOOOOO long since I've spent Christmas with my mom, that I don't know what she does anymore! My stepmom still wraps hers. I usually do, just because I think it's more fun for the kids.
No, we never wrapped our stocking stuffers. That seems weird.
There is no blah in Christmas
Ooo! A train ride? I would never have thought of that and it's so season-y!
We don't wrap our stocking stuffers. But, I guess that might be fun. It would make it last a little longer anyways. LOL
We wrap stocking stuffers so if your hubby's weird, then so am I - LOL!
We never wrap stocking presents! no, no, no! ha ha
My kids would love to take a train ride. When I was growing up Santa always left everything unwrapped. However, in my husbands family he wrapped everything including stocking stuffers.
We actually do wrap some stocking stuffers. If they are special. It is kind of like one last gift.
we love the grinch, too!
