Wordless Wednesday....Get off my house!

This time of year it's always the same thing. Stupid snakes...well their not stupid. I just don't like them. Because we have chickens and fresh eggs, the snakes make our property their home. It's a constant battle between me and the snakes. They want to steal my eggs and I just want them to go away. They give me the goose bumps, make my hair stand on end and most of the time make me scream like a little girl.

This one was on our roof yesterday. My dog was no help. He just stood behind me barking at it and flinching every time he thought it had touched him. What a wussy! He's supposed to take care of me. I guess when it comes to snakes I'm on my own.

The little boogers never show up when my husband is home. So I always have to take care of them myself. BTW taking care of them means moving them off my property. They aren't poisonous and are just doing their best to survive. I just wish they would survive somewhere else. Do you think they are out to get me?

I guess this week really isn't that wordless after all.

At least they aren't poisonous. Those are the snakes that really bother me.

Oh wow, I about had a heart attack when I opened that. You are more woman than me, there is no way I could touch a snake to move it!

Oh ugh! That is one ugly beast. I can't believe you deal with these constantly.

I think I got chills just looking at that thing! My parents get a lot of snakes near their house, and it creeps me out so bad. You are much braver than me-I could never move one!

Glad to hear your re-transport them.. Although it would be better if they would just stay on the other side of the fence..

When we lived out in the country we had a bunch of those around, my kids used them as target practice with the pellet guns LOL

Eating your chicken's eggs is NO good. I wonder if there is a repellent or something to keep them away.

Happy WW from Sara @ the Mostly Wordless Wednesday H.Q.!

My 7 y/o son loves that picture and is so jealous you have snakes and we don't. Funny kid.
Great picture but I so don't want to ever deal with that! Great blog!

OOOoooh yuck! No way- and up there, they could fall on you, or in your hair. I would be in a rubber room! Poisonous or not, they make my skin crawl.

You're right. They are just doing their job, but that doesn't make me like them any better. We use to have rattle snakes, but fortunately I didn't start seeing them until a few months before we moved. I use to hear horror stories from people who lived higher in the foothills; a minimum 50+ snake spottings. I can't imagine a field of slithering rattle snakes. Okay, I'm done talking about it. It's grossing me out.
