When Heather from Maternal Spark said she was looking for bloggers for her next wwWhip Up for a book called The Must Have Mom Manual my ears perked. I love to read, I love Heather and her wwWhip Ups and I can use some advice.
The Must Have Mom Manual was wrote by two moms, Stephanie Triplett and Sara Ellington.
What I loved the most about the book were their two different perspectives on each subject. Stephanie is the messy, breastfeeding mom who returned to her career. Sara is the superorganized, bottle-feeding Mom who left her job to stay home. You could imagine how this pans out but...that is not the case. Sara and Stephanie pride themselves are being different and having different opinions but still being best friends. Oh if only the whole world felt this way.
Even though some things in the book don't pertain to me anymore. I still read the whole thing. I was so jealous reading the first chapter " Secrets to Improve Your Hospital Experience" Why did no one tell me these things when I had my first baby. Sara and Stephanie really tell it like it is, they leave no detail out.
The book is full of information ranging from advice for new Dads to Flying Without Fear. Sara and Stephanie did a great job with this book. Not only is it full of knowledge but it's full of laughs. I really enjoyed reading this and urge you to purchase it for yourself or someone you may know.

thanks.
i am a email subscriber! thanks.
i also follow you! :)
Your review makes me want to grab a copy now. The great thing about this book is that it reflects the reality. Each mom is unique as an individual and as a mother. But one thing they all share in common is the fact that they want what's best for the whole family. The two characters showing different perspectives will make the readers enjoy. I bet that not only moms will enjoy this book ;) Thank you for this post.
Chapter 8, about going back to work, would be a good read for me right now as I get ready to return to my workplace.
I think "At The Hospital" is a great chapter for expecting moms - I would love to win this book to tuck into a gift basket the next time I attend a baby shower, sounds like it would be a great thing for first-time moms! Thank you for the giveaway!

Chapter 14: Going Out to a Restaurant with your Baby or Child looks very interesting to me. I have seen so many children go a little berzerk at a restaurant and I want to make sure I am prepared when I go out with my little one!

I could benefit from a lot of these chapters -- "traveling with baby" would be useful for our vacation this fall!
